Q: Is Joyce Bros. a union or non-union mover?

A: Joyce Bros. has a union affiliation with Teamsters Local Union #705. This gives us a unique position in that we can work in every building in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Very few movers in Chicago have this flexibility.


Q: What kind of manpower and equipment capability does Joyce Bros. have?


A: Joyce Bros. has in excess of 300 movers and more than 70 vehicles. In addition, we own more than 3,000 four-wheel dollies, 200 panel carts, 1,000 sheets of masonite and thousands of speed packs.


Q: What type of insurance coverage does Joyce Bros. have?


A: Joyce Bros. carries the following insurance coverage for the protection of our company as well as yours:

• Legal liability *
• Workmen's compensation
• Auto, public liability and property damage
• Cargo insurance
• Contractor’s and manufacturer’s (general)
• Public liability
• Legal liability is $.30 per pound per article at no charge. We can also provide replacement value protection at an additional charge.


Q: Is Joyce Bros. capable of helping our company perform packing services?


A: Absolutely. Joyce Bros. supplies record storage cartons, tote cartons or any carton necessary to facilitate your relocation. In addition, we have experienced packers that can pack everything for you if you so choose.


Q: What does Joyce Bros. do to help our employees cope with a move?


A: Your Joyce Bros. consultant will familiarize you and your employees with the entire move process via packing and moving seminars. Our commitment is to satisfy your every concern and question—before and during the move process.


Q: How does Joyce Bros. price a move?


A: Typically, an office and/or industrial move is priced on a time and material basis. In certain circumstances, we may opt to charge on a per person basis or lump sum basis. Your Joyce Bros. consultant will work with you to construct the best available pricing plan for your specific situation.


Q: What guarantees does Joyce Bros. make regarding our move?


A: We guarantee that we will work with you every step of the way to maximize our timeliness and efficiency. Our experience and long record of success are proof points that you will receive only professional service. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with any part of our process, we guarantee a resolution to your concerns within one hour of notification, regardless of the circumstances.


Q: What if I have a claim? How does Joyce Bros. handle that situation?


A: In the unlikely event that you have a claim, Joyce Bros. has an inside claims department that will proceed with repairs and/or other settlements as necessary, based on the type of valuation coverage chosen by you prior to your move. Any claim will be settled within 10 days of your claim notification unless replacement parts need to be ordered.


Q: How does Joyce Bros. move computers and related equipment?


A: Joyce Bros. has large computer cartons that are designed specifically for moving computers. In addition, we have anti-static bubble bags for monitors, towers, keyboards and miscellaneous equipment. As an added feature of protection, our vans are equipped with air-ride suspensions.

Q: Does Joyce Bros. have warehouse space available?

A: We have three warehouses totaling more than 250,000 square feet of space. Our
locations are in Melrose Park, Elk Grove Village and the City of Chicago. Each of our facilities offers racked storage space as well as open floor space. Each location offers ample space with a fully operational security system.


Q: Does Joyce Bros. have a record storage location?


A: Yes, Joyce Bros. has record storage space in each of its three locations. Our sophisticated bar code system allows for flexible tracking of company records and files. We currently have more than 175,000 boxes that we manage.


Q: Does Joyce Bros. provide out-of-state transportation services?

A: Joyce Bros. has the capabilities and resources to transport goods anywhere in the United States, and for that matter, around the world. We handle truckload and less-than-truckload shipments, and have a network of over 1,000 agents to call upon for origin and destination work.
